SEO FOR TRADIES

Does a tradie need a website for SEO, or is a Google Business Profile enough?

THE SHORT ANSWER

A Google Business Profile on its own can win you some map pack calls, but a website makes local SEO much stronger. It lets you build a page for each service and suburb, show your work and reviews, and turn visitors into calls. Google also looks at your website when it ranks your profile.

Without a site you are relying on one listing for every search, and you cannot rank in the organic results below the map. You also have nowhere to send ad clicks or show photos of finished jobs in an order you control.

For most tradies a simple five to ten page site is enough: home, a page per service, service areas, about, reviews and gallery, and contact. Fast on a phone, clear phone number on every page.

If budget is tight, start with a strong profile and plan a site soon after. Scalepoint builds websites from A$1,490, ex GST, and you own the site outright.
