Free tools

Free Chrome extensions for local businesses.

One shows why the top three rank on Google Maps and what your Business Profile needs to catch up. The other shows whether AI search and answer tools can read the page you are on. Both run in your browser and cost nothing.

Local SEO

Local Pack Check

See why the top three rank on Google Maps, and what your Business Profile needs to catch up.

What you see
  • Who ranks for a search on Google Maps, with their ratings and review counts.
  • Your Google Business Profile compared with the top three.
  • Your gaps listed biggest first, each with a plain-English fix.
  • A printable review card with a QR code that opens your Google review form.

Private by design. It runs in your browser and sends nothing to us or anyone else. Read the privacy policy.

AI search

AI Visibility Check

One click shows whether AI search and answer tools can read the page you are on, scored out of 100.

What you see
  • Whether the site’s robots.txt rules let 17 search, answer and training crawlers read that exact page.
  • Whether the site has an llms.txt file.
  • The page’s structured data: schema types, a business or organisation entity, and any blocks that fail to parse.
  • Page basics (noindex, title, meta description, H1, canonical, Open Graph) and a score out of 100. Blocking training-only crawlers does not lower the score.

Private by design. It runs in your browser, fetches only that site’s robots.txt and llms.txt plus one header request to the page, and sends nothing to us. Read the privacy policy.

Common questions about the tools

Are the tools free?

Yes. Both extensions are free to install from the Chrome Web Store and free to use.

Do the extensions collect my data?

No. Each one runs only when you click its icon and reads only the page you are viewing. Local Pack Check sends nothing to us or anyone else. AI Visibility Check fetches only that website’s own robots.txt and llms.txt files plus one header request to the page, and sends nothing to us. The detail is in our privacy policy.

Do they work in Microsoft Edge or Brave?

They are built for Chrome. Most Chromium browsers, including Microsoft Edge and Brave, can install extensions from the Chrome Web Store, so you can add them there the same way. They do not run in Safari or Firefox.

Who built them?

Scalepoint, a Melbourne digital marketing studio for Australian trades and local service businesses. We run SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads month to month, with no lock-in. The extensions are free whether or not you work with us.
